HostNine is a dynamic young company founded by web hosting veterans. In 2006, we decided to strike out on our own after many years of industry experience. Our goal is simple: we want to get to know your business, and do everything we can to support it.
As a starting point, we've built a solid technology foundation. We use only Dell servers, which offer exceptional performance and proven reliability. Our current config features dual core dual Opteron 2.4 GHz processors (that means each server contains two 2.4 GHz processors, each of which is dual core) with 4 GB of RAM. Our Fastservers-operated data centers are located in Cedar Falls, Iowa, San Jose and Chicago.
Hostnine support completely ignores (no response) very important support tickets. (Sites down, ssl problems (inproperly filled out security certificates, suspended accounts, etc)
Very sorry we moved to Hostnine, will now have to start moving all our sites again. Nothing but problems, (and bad attitude) from Hostnine from start to finsih.
Complete waste of time, dont bother with Hostnine.

Time with host at time of review: 2-4 months
I was with h9 for a few months and first impressions were GREAT. As the months went on though the feelings towards the hosting provider did not stay the same. While I have mixed reviews on H9 I would rate them at a 5 out of 10. They are definitely not the worst host out there but they are far from the best either.
Pros of H9: Price Speed during NON peak times 24/7 limited support (short question and answer only) A few REALLY good techs (2 to be exact)
Cons: Slow peak usage speak 24/7 limited support A few really bad techs Server down time during peak hours (A.M. hours wouldn't bother me) Can not use e-mail included with any shared plan - just don't try Slow Ticket Response times with anything billing related Weird SMTP errors when using offsite SMTP instead of whats included in your plan
Overall:
I am glad I am leaving H9 at his time. This company has potential but needs to reflect on the motto of most A++ hosting providers, "Underpromise Overdeliver".
