I have three shared server accounts and one dedicated server.
Problems have been few and far between but, when they have occurred, the vast majority of the time, the ticket system or the live chat have been superb in sorting things out.
On a couple of occasions when the problem was urgent, I've been able to call and speak to someone, even out of hours to get it resolved.
There have also been several occasions when Hostgator have gone that extra mile to help me out.

I justed wanted to say that I have used all the top hosting companies and I never had problems with them nor can I complain. That being said Host Gator is the best because of their customer service. I have never had a problem getting someone on the phone and if I needed help I was treated like my problem was their problem. If a person is new to web hosting Host Gator is by far the best with their in depth tutorials. I can't say enough good things keep up the good work. Thank you!

I have a dedicated server with Host Gator. I have been approached by other companies offering the server at less money, but I will not change.
The service I have recieved from their support has been fantastic. Originally I was not to sure about support tickets, but everytime I send one they get back to me right away.
I recently had a major e-mail problem. One of the admins Josh Lo took on the task and did not let up until the problem was resolved. Kuddos to him again!!
